Genre Writing

The genre I choose is horror. There are several types of horror such as Body Horror, Folk Horror, Found, Footage Horror, Monster Horror, Slasher Films, and Zombie Horror.  I often watch Slasher Films. I think it's a movie with many violent scenes where people are killed and blood bleeds.

Here are two of my favorite slasher movies.  The first is "Don't Breathe".  It was released in Japan on December 16, 2016.  Directed by Fede Álvarez, the main performers are Rocky (Jane Levy), Alex (Dylan Minnette), Money (Daniel Zovatto) and The Blind Man (Stephen Lang). Three young men robbed an old man's house, but the old man was blind.  Instead, he was an abnormal person who had excellent hearing and could not let any sound escape.  It is a story about three people who have learned the secret of the blind old man and are trapped in the house and try to escape.

The second is "Child's Play".  It was released in Japan on July 19, 2019.  Directed by Lars Klevberg, the main performers are Andy Barclay (Gabriel Bateman), Karen Barclay (Aubrey Plaza) and Detective Mike Norris (Brian Tyree Henry). Andy gets a buddy doll, Chucky, from his mother. However, the Chucky was designed to malfunction. It is a story that Chucky who heard Andy's trivial word kills people one after another.

The attraction of horror movies is that you can experience fear and tension.  I think that excitement is interesting.  Also, the murderer seems a bit pitiful considering that the scary but painful past has made it so.  There are many series of horror movies, which are not only scary but also have a solid story.  One of the pleasures is that the stories are connected by watching the series one by one.
